Mohd Faisal is a PhD candidate in Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Ottawa and a researcher at the Multimedia Communications Research Laboratory (MCRLab). His research focuses on artificial intelligence, haptics, multimodal learning, extended reality (XR), and robotics, with a particular interest in how intelligent systems perceive and interact with the physical world.
He holds a Master of Applied Science degree from the University of Ottawa and has received the Ontario Graduate Scholarship and the University of Ottawa Academic Excellence Scholarship. His work explores the intersection of AI, sensing, and human-machine interaction, with applications in Physical AI and Embodied Intelligence.
