In addition, Fanie was a Director Startup Grind company based in USA that educate 2 million entrepreneurs across 125+ countries. His work has won him multi-awards and took him internationally. In 2018, Durban University of Technology honoured him with community service and leadership award. Also, In 2018 his work won two prizes, Innovation Durban Youth Challange 3rd Prize and DUT Community Engagement Cluster 1st prize. In September 2018 he was invited by Google to speak in Sub-sahara Africa GDG Summit at Kenya, November 2018 DUT sent him as delegate to participant in emerging leaders Peace Summit in United Nation, Thailand. In March 2020, based on his amazing work Microsoft has selected Fanie to attend Microsoft Imagine Cup Final summit in Netherlands.
