The interest for the human being and his/her inner life started during high school and continued during the university studies, at the end of which I graduated in Medicine and specialized in Psychiatry. I dedicated many years to my great passion for scientific research, first in academia in the United States and then in pharmaceutical companies, studying the psychopathology of psychiatric diseases and their genetic causes. After the age of 40, I faced the need for a new purpose in private and professional life which led me to a new career that integrates my scientific skills, my relational abilities and the values that I dear most: respect for people, acceptance and levity. I am certified as Associate Certified Coach (ACC) by ICF (International Coach Federation), and I work as a freelance with several small and medium-sized Italian companies supporting professionals and teams in their growth, through coaching, facilitation and training. I believe in the power of playing as a learning tool, and I use techniques that stimulate lateral and creative thinking (such as photocoaching and LEGO) to overcome obstacles and limiting beliefs. I recently published a book ("L’arte di coltivare la componente umana del lean", ed. Franco Angeli) which gives practical indications on how to manage process improvement interventions and company changes in coaching mode.
