Facundo Giuliani

Developer Relations Engineer

Buenos Aires, Argentina

Among the different things that Facundo enjoys, some of them are meeting and connecting with other people, web development, and talking a lot. After more than 12 years working as a developer, creating products and projects for different organizations and clients, he thought it would be great to combine those three interests in some way. In his search of ways to handle that, he discovered the world of Developer Relations. Nowadays, Facundo works as a DevRel Engineer at Storyblok, and he spends his time engaging with the dev community, speaking at events and conferences, creating and sharing content, writing articles for different websites and platforms, leading workshops, and talking (of course). He is one of the organizers of React Buenos Aires Meetup, the biggest React community in Argentina. He has been selected Prisma Ambassador, Auth0 Ambassador, and Cloudinary Media Developer Expert.

Don't take it personally, it is personalization

"Personalization" is right now one of the hottest buzzwords in the development world. Marketers, developers, and content creators evaluate the possibilities and alternatives to handle custom scenarios while offering powerful experiences to the users. Let's talk about personalization, the benefits, the challenges, and how we can manage and offer personalized experiences. We will see code examples using some of the features introduced in Next.js 12, the newest version of the framework.

Workshop: Crash Course into the Jamstack with Next.js & Storyblok

You may have already heard about the Jamstack. You have probably used Next.js, and recently you may have heard a lot about headless CMSs. In this quick course, we will put all these pieces together, and we will show you why Storyblok — in combination with Next.js — is the best combo for your next project. Join us so that you can try it yourself!

Living on the Edge

While the technology goes further and further, web development tries to get closer to the user. Static websites and the Jamstack are good approaches if we want to create a great user experience. But what happens when we need to customize and personalize content? In this talk, we will present the new concept of "The Edge". We will see how it works and how we can implement it using Next.js to offer fast, powerful, and personalized experiences to the users.

How to View and React without a Head

You might have heard about Headless CMS. This new type of content platform gives us some benefits compared to a Monolithic CMS. We will talk about the key features of any Headless CMS and how we can integrate a headless platform into our React applications. We will focus on Storyblok, a headless CMS that offers a real-time Visual Editor, a great feature for developers and content creators.

Incremental Static Regeneration: Static sites on steroids

Static sites are great. They are fast, cheap, secure, and easy to maintain. But generating static assets is a process that takes more and more time while our site gets bigger. We will talk about Incremental Static Regeneration (ISR), a feature that Next.js framework offers us to generate static pages at runtime. With it, we get the benefit of static, but supporting dynamic data and page re-rendering on demand. We will talk about static web pages, static site generation, and, in particular, Next.js. We will present Next.js Incremental Static Regeneration (ISR). We’ll see how it works and code a little example.
