Hi, I’m Frances Coronel—a senior software engineer, a fierce advocate for diversity in tech, and a doting Corgi mom.

I’ve spent over seven years in software engineering, focusing on product and growth teams, where I honed my skills in React and TypeScript. Collaborating closely with design and product teams, I thrive on building user-focused solutions that make a real impact.‍

Right now, I’m part of the Lists team at Slack, where we’re making it easier than ever to manage projects and tasks without leaving your favorite work operating system. I love being able to contribute to a product that empowers high-impact teams all around the world.

Outside work, I’m passionate about speaking, mentoring, and teaching. I aim to lead by example and inspire the next generation of software engineers. As a proud Peruvian-American, I’m committed to championing diversity and uplifting underrepresented voices in tech.

I was born and raised in Norfolk, VA, where I currently live with my two Corgis, Luna & Sueño. When I'm not spending quality time with my dogs, I enjoy scuba diving and watching Netflix.
