Gabbie Mangaser is an emerging museum professional, working with the Heritage: Arts and Cultures collections of Oceania and Asia at the Burke Museum of Natural History and Culture. She graduated from the University of Washington - Seattle with her Bachelor’s in Anthropology and Master’s in Museology where her thesis focused on facilitating heritage connections using cultural collections with Southeast Asian American students. At the Burke Museum, she focuses on providing access to collections for students, researchers, artists, and communities. Gabbie is particularly involved in research of the Philippine collections and bridging Filipino/a/x community members to cultural belongings.
