Gabrielle S. Evans, PhD(c), MPH, CHES (she/her) is a sexuality educator, researcher, and doctoral student at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston pursuing a PhD in Health Promotion and Behavioral Sciences. Gabrielle has taught comprehensive sexuality education since 2016, facilitating programs for faith-based organizations, providers, and Native American adolescents. As a member of the Haliwa-Saponi Tribe, her research focuses on analyzing the impact of historical and present traumas on Native sexual health, as well as centering safe and pleasurable sexual experiences of Native women and adolescents.
