Dr. Amy Stevens, Ed.D. is a Licensed Professional Counselor and military veteran. She is the founder of the Facebook social network group “Georgia Military Women” with 5000+ members and provides a unique insight to the issues faced by women in the military. Her team of women veteran leaders provide information, resources, and comradery on-line and in person across the State of Georgia. A passionate advocate for veterans, Dr. Stevens has been interviewed numerous times in local and national media. An active member of her community, in 2021 she received the Nikki J. Randal Servant Leadership Award from the State of Georgia, Women’s Legislative Caucus. In 2021, she was also the recipient of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution Distinguished Citizen Medal. She has previously served on the Board of Directors of VETLANTA and has hosted three women veteran summits in Atlanta.

Dr Stevens’ professional experience includes being an Officer in the U.S. Navy, Program Manager with the U.S. Department of Labor and additional service as The Director of Psychological Health with the Georgia National Guard. She currently serves as a Military Family Life Consultant with Department of Defense contractors. She also provides critical incident response to local Georgia businesses and corporations. Additionally, as a professional volunteer, she is a Disaster Mental Health Manager for the American Red Cross with 25 years of deployment experience. Her educational degrees include master’s degrees from Johns Hopkins University and The Citadel. Her doctorate from Argosy University is in Counseling Psychology.
