Gary is a highly experienced technologist across a broad spectrum of web, cloud and enterprise technologies. He is both a practical professional software engineer and a computer scientist able to solve complex problems from first principles. His day job is at The Helix-Collective as a senior software engineer helping get start-ups off the ground, but at night he is finishing his PhD which investigates how to design programming languages from the perspective of human understandability.
