Gary Golomb
Chief Research Officer, Quantum Offense
Actions
Gary Golomb has spent 25 years building companies in threat research, digital forensics, machine learning, and detection engineering - and has spent the past two years in "stealth" in a dark, dank basement doing private R&D on Quantum Computing (QC) threat research and forensics analysis. “Quantum threats” is generally synonymous with “cryptography.” Instead, he has focused on adversarial actions against QPUs and QC tech stacks. Before career changing to quantum, he cofounded Awake Security (which won several prestigious “Great Places to Work” in Silicon Valley awards). Awake developed one of the first Network Detection and Response (NDR) platforms, which also won some of the most respected industry awards and analyst recognition. He was the first employee at Cylance, the company credited with developing the first AI-based EDR to perform at scale. He joined NetWitness early after it acquired his endpoint discovery and forensics product company. His work in threat research and intrusion detection dates back to analyzing exploits and developing detections for the Dragon IDS in 2001.
His current hobbies are running stupid distances and Krav Maga.
