Genesis is a Venezuelan behavioral and social psychologist; as a feminist activist, she specializes in health, sexual rights and reproductive justice. She has coordinated research, project management, curriculum development and advocacy for local and international organizations to promote access to health and education in Latin America and the Caribbean. Genesis currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Safe Abortion Action Fund and is pursuing a dual master's degree in anthropology and sociology at the Graduate Institute in Geneva.
