Ger is currently the lead engineer on the MongoDB performance team. He's had a number of roles in his 8 years in the company. In that time he's seen and solved all kinds of performance challenges. Before MongoDB he founded a startup that built a project communication platform. Even before that, he architected and tuned the performance of microcode, device drivers and kernel modules with Intel.
