Gerald Mukama is an award-winning techpreneur best known for initiating his social enterprise VijanaTech. He is responsible for the strategic direction, vision, growth and performance of VijanaTech. He launched VijanaTech, an award-winning social enterprise that supports youth with capacity building, digital skills development (through their online learning platform & physical courses), and mentorship thus opening the digital economy to more Tanzanian youth. VijanaTech also offers Consultancy and IT solution services, providing tech-related solutions for different businesses.

Originally he is from Dar es salaam Tanzania, born and raised by a single mother. He has been named to The Entrepreneur Africa Magazine’s list of the Unconventional Entrepreneurs of 2021. He became a Queen's Commonwealth Trust Network Hub member, Vodacom Digital Accelerator Season 2 Fellow, 2019 Africave Fellow, We Make Change Tanzania National Changemaker, Africode Fellow, DOT Youth Street Team Alumni, Hindsight Ventures Founder Development Bootcamp graduate and a 2021 Award for Innovation winner by Tanzania Emerging Youth Awards.

In the future, Gerald would like to reach an even greater number of youth who can tackle increasingly complex problems using technology. Just as he has found opportunity in the digital economy, so too can others.
