Gloria Andrade, PhD, joined the Center for Autism and Early Childhood Mental Health at Montclair State University in NJ as a Lead Early Childhood Consultation Specialist for SEFI (Socio-Emotional Formation Inclusion) in 2018. Dr. Andrade's expertise in early childhood mental health is underpinned by her extensive experience and qualifications. She has worked directly with children and families from Hispanic backgrounds in a variety of settings, including daycare centers, home-based child care, schools, outpatient programs, and in-home counseling. Her academic credentials include a Master of Social Work and a Ph.D. in Family Studies and Human Development. She also fulfills the requirements for the New Jersey Association of Infant Mental Health endorsement. Dr. Andrade's commitment to continuous learning is evident in her numerous certificates, including Applied, Advance, and Intensive Fellowship in Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health, Circle of Security, Pyramid Model, Brazelton, Expert DIRFloortime training leader, Self-Reg Foundations Program Core Competencies, Self-Reg Facilitator's Certificate Program, Brain Story, and the 12 core concepts of understanding traumatic stress responses in children and families, as well as a Certificate Program in Trauma and Traumatic Stress.
