Xu Wang is the vice chair of the Ant Group Open Source Technology Committee and also the head of the Container Infrastructure team. Xu joined Ant Group in 2019, and currently he is responsible for the development of the container-based Cloud-Native infrastructure and the open-source related strategies of Ant Group. Xu is also a director of the Open Infrastructure Foundation (OIF) Board on behalf of Ant Group.
Before joining Ant Group, Xu was the CTO and co-founder of hyper.sh, a startup on secure container runtime technology, and launched Kata Containers project together with Intel and OIF in Austin, TX in 2017. The Kata Containers has been a top-level open-source project in OIF since 2018.
