In addition to his legal practice, Gregory J. Hoag has demonstrated significant leadership within the legal community. He has served as President of both the St. Petersburg Bar Association and the St. Petersburg Bar Foundation. His leadership extended to chairing crucial committees, including the Sixth Judicial Circuit Grievance Committee and the Young Lawyers Division of The Florida Bar, where he also served on the Board of Governors. He remains an active member of several bar associations, including the St. Petersburg, North Tampa, and Clearwater Bar Associations. He contributes to the Tampa Bay Trial Lawyers Association, Florida Justice Association, and American Association of Justice.

Outside of his legal responsibilities, Hoag values the time he spends with his family and actively engages in Florida’s outdoor lifestyle. He participates in water sports like swimming, boating, paddleboarding, and kayaking. He is a fervent supporter of local sports teams such as the Tampa Bay Rays, Buccaneers, Lightning, and Rowdies, reflecting his passion for community and sports.

His commitment to the community is also evident in his philanthropic work, including active involvement with Big Brothers Big Sisters and support for legal-focused charities through the St. Petersburg Bar Foundation. He also serves as a volunteer coach for his son’s soccer team and contributes his time to his children’s schools.
