Guru Duggireddy is a seasoned Data Governance and Data Privacy professional with over 22 years of experience delivering strategic, scalable, and regulatory-compliant data solutions across financial services, B2B SaaS, healthcare, and technology sectors. Renowned for his deep technical expertise and leadership in metadata management, data cataloging, privacy, and security, he has successfully guided cross-functional teams and mentored data leaders in building high-impact, enterprise-wide governance platforms.
Guru is currently an independent freelancer and researcher, helping Sysco Foods design and implement a Data Management-as-a-Service platform within a data fabric and data mesh environment. His work focuses on establishing unified data governance and secure data sharing capabilities that serve diverse business domains, as well as supporting machine learning and AI applications at scale.
Previously, Guru served as a Senior Solutions Architect at Securiti AI, where he led data privacy and governance initiatives for major global financial institutions, integrating compliance with GDPR, CCPA, and GLBA across multi-cloud environments. Previously, he served as an Enterprise Architect at Collibra, where he spearheaded data governance frameworks and migration strategies for banks, insurance firms, and investment entities.
Earlier in his career, Guru led Platform Services at Alation, Big Data Practice at MicroStrategy, and built data platforms at Nexient and UST Global, where he partnered with Fortune 100 clients including Facebook, Apple, Sprint, and Dell. His work has consistently centered on implementing data lakes, warehousing, business intelligence, and governance systems, with hands-on contributions in tools such as Snowflake, Tableau, Power BI, Informatica, and Hadoop-based technologies.
Guru holds an MBA in Management Information Systems and Finance and a Bachelor’s degree in Science. He is currently pursuing the Chief Artificial Intelligence Officer Executive Program at The University of Chicago Booth School of Business, with completion expected in December 2025. His certifications include AI Governance (Securiti), Collibra Solution Architect, and MicroStrategy Developer, among others.
