More than 20 years ago he created his first own reporting and analysis application.

After many years as CFO in several companies and as co-CEO of an IT infrastructure company, he turned his passion into his profession and now works as Senior Consultant Business Intelligence at IT-Logix in Bern.

In addition to his professional activities, he is also a LinkedIn trainer, Power BI speaker and co-leader of the Power BI User Group Switzerland. He focuses on Power BI, SQL Server and Excel.

CALCULATE – the swiss army knife in DAX

DAX is a very powerful tool in Power BI, Excel and SSAS. In order to be able to use the tool to its full extent, however, an understanding of the context types is important.

In this session you will also learn how you can have more influence on the calculations with Calculate.

Power Query Deep Dive - Introduction to M

The user interface in Power Query allows the user to easily perform many import and transformation steps.

These Power Query functions can be further extended using the underlying "M" language. The session will provide an introduction to "M" and the attendees may use the power of “M” in Power BI Desktop, SSAS and Excel Power as well as in the Power BI Dataflows.

After the session you will be able, to enriche your Power Query solutions with your own “M”-Code.
