Harcharan Jassal is a seasoned Technology Application Implementation, DevOps, Automation, Engineering, and Operations Lead with over two decades of experience simplifying complex technology problems across banking, manufacturing, and technology domains. Currently serving as Team Lead for Infrastructure & Engineering at BMO's Treasury & Payment Applications division in San Ramon, California, he leads engineering and infrastructure build and support operations for corporate cards, payments, and commercial applications with a dedicated team of system and database administrators.
Throughout his distinguished career, Harcharan has demonstrated exceptional expertise in enterprise-wide technology implementations and operations management. His notable achievements include spearheading the enterprise-wide release management for Informatica Master Data Management Product with over 50 integrations serving more than 25,000 banking customers at Bank of the West, where he served as Vice President of IT for nearly eight years. During his tenure there, he successfully established the Release Management Office for Enterprise Applications. He led the enterprise rollout of Informatica Master Data Management for business intelligence and core banking services.
Harcharan's technical expertise spans a comprehensive technology stack including ServiceNow, Ansible, Linux, Informatica, Splunk, JIRA, Oracle, and various Microsoft technologies. He excels in DevOps engineering, system and database administration, product management, and ERP implementation, while also bringing strong soft skills in leadership, communication, problem-solving, and team building to his roles.
His career journey began at Jindal South West as a Trainee Engineer, where he progressed to head the IT Department, implementing ERP systems across manufacturing operations. He then advanced through progressive roles at Tata Consultancy Services, Infosys Technologies, Cisco Systems, and Info Way Solutions before joining Bank of the West and subsequently BMO.
Harcharan holds a Master of Administrative Science in Technology from Fairleigh Dickinson University in New Jersey and a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical from Thapar University in India.
