Harmen van der Linde is a senior director at VMware's CTO Office and leads the Cloud Data Platforms team. Before VMware, Harmen was the director and global head of Citigroup's Monitoring and Logging organization. In this role, he led several observability projects focused on Kubernetes and cloud monitoring, bridging the gap between application development and IT infrastructure operations. During his first years at Citigroup, Harmen was part of the emerging technologies team and drove the design and architecture planning for Citigroup's internal cloud offering. Before Citi, he worked at Cisco Systems, leading product management for service provider networking technologies and AT&T, leading network operations planning. Harmen has an MBA in Economics and Finance from Stern NYU and an M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from Twente University.
