Hawra is deeply passionate about cybersecurity research and fostering inclusivity within the tech community. Her journey has taken her from Meta Platforms to advocating for the representation of women in technology, always with the aim of making the tech industry more accessible to underrepresented groups. Her academic path includes a BSc in Computer Science, a PGCE in Computer Science, MA in Computing Education, and currently pursuing an MSc in Information Security at Royal Holloway University of London, focusing on cyberbullying research. Transitioning from teaching high school to playing an active role in tech community organisation, she has focused on sharing knowledge and inspiring a sense of belonging among tech enthusiasts from diverse backgrounds. As a previous co-organiser for the Google Developer Group (GDG) Oxford, London, and Najaf, and Women Techmakers Ambassador in the UK and Iraq, her efforts have always been directed towards creating spaces where everyone can learn, share, and grow together in the tech ecosystem.
