Another Database: Women Panelists
‘Manels’ or ‘All-male panels’ are panel discussions that lack women speakers, often claiming a shortage of women experts for such panels. Following the many online discussion forums held during our 3rd wave of Covid-19, I aimed to create a database of women in Brunei who have participated in forums, including their experience and areas of expertise. This database could serve as an archive and as a resource for the future. This presentation will discuss the project as well as considerations involved for such a compilation.
Creating a festival ticketing system with WooCommerce
The speaker will share lessons learned from designing and managing ticketing for a local theatre festival, selling 2000 tickets over 3 years. The speaker will combine knowledge sharing and exercises in this interactive session, equipping participants with the basics and practical considerations of creating a festival ticketing system using WooCommerce, a popular e-commerce platform.
