Heather is lucky enough to organize developer communities as a full-time job. She’s worked for a variety of tech companies in Developer Advocate and Community Manager positions and currently supports open source communities through her Community Manger role with Bitovi, a leading open source & software building consultancy.

As a Chicago native, she currently hosts and manages the Chicago JavaScript meetups, the city’s longest-running JavaScript developer group. When she’s not building community in the tech space, you can find her running marathons, baking, and taking her dog, Olive, on long walks.
