Unlock the power of DevOps with Value Stream Management

"Organizations are stuck in their DevOps evolution. According to the 2021 State of DevOps Report, most organizations are staying at a middle level of DevOps capabilities for years. There are many barriers to improving DevOps capabilities, but they can be overcome by taking a novel approach to navigating your digital transformation pathway.

Value Stream Management (VSM) is the next evolution of DevOps, rapidly gaining adoption across industries because of its success in helping organizations break through the software delivery patterns that have held them back. VSM delivers the visibility organizations need to make informed decisions that improve their software delivery.

Join Dalibor Siroky, CEO of Plutora and Helen Beal, Chief Ambassador at the DevOps Institute and Chair of the Value Stream Management Consortium to learn how to use VSM to elevate your DevOps capabilities and deliver more value to your customers faster.

In this webinar you will learn:
- The causes of the DevOps capabilities plateau
- Why VSM is the next evolution of Agile and DevOps
- How VSM helps organizations rapidly advance their DevOps capabilities"

What I Learned in 2020

This has been a weird year for everyone, but I want to share what I observed working with the DevOps community - how we struggled, how we survived and what trends I see taking us into 2021. There'll be a lot about culture, leadership, diversity and inclusion and a big dollop of value stream led and AI tech and DevSecOps analysis.

The Value Stream Management Community

Value Stream Management is still an emerging market and 2020 saw it receive unprecedented attention from a whole host of global technology analysts. In this talk, Helen will look at the origins of VSM and why she considers it to be the next generation of DevOps. She'll have insights into who the community is that's driving it forward believing passionately that it's the key technology platform for this decade to take us into the next Golden Age.

Observability: DevOps' Crystal Ball

DevOps has long held the principles of telemetry everywhere - observability by another name. We've long known the connection between AIOps and observability but use cases are expanding from plain old incident response. Outcomes of reduced MTTR and more time for improvement and innovation are evolving into customer experience and value outcomes and learning. Analysts like Eveline Oerhlich are writing about predictive analytics. Some argue that if we can predict it, we should have already fixed it. Others recognize that our AI offers us humans ways in which to detect patterns and gain actionable insights into our products and platforms in a way we've never previously been able. In this session, we'll connect observability with outcomes that drive higher levels of organizational performance.

Fireside Chat: The Human Aspects of DevOps

Join DevOps Institute’s Jayne Groll, CEO, and Helen Beal, Chief Ambassador, chatting about the human aspects of DevOps. DevOps Institute’s purpose of advancing the humans of DevOps means engaging members in conversations about how culture and behavior influence organizational performance. From understanding how our brains operate in the workplace and why some companies are better positioned for learning, change and innovation, to hearing about why organizational design matters and how leadership needs to get bureaucracy out of the way to supercharge DevOps adoption, Jayne and Helen will review the foremost cultural movements that can help teams and organizations reach their DevOps goals. They’ll look at how to measure DevOps capability, particularly through the human aspects dimension and provide practical advice around applying value stream centric thinking to accelerate progress.

Accelerating DevOps Evolution

Jayne and Helen discuss why measurement propels DevOps journeys forward, why humans finding joy in their work accelerates success and how value stream management unsticks stagnant transformation.
