For it's first two years, HelloStavanger was a resounding success, selling out with a waiting list! Three times makes it a tradition so it's time to lock in. 

Are you passionate about sharing knowledge and experiences? We're inviting you to be part of HelloStavanger 2026, a conference crafted in Stavanger for the software community, by the software community.

Why should you submit? HelloStavanger is not just another conference, it's a community-driven event where we ensure an amazing experience for both speakers and attendees.

We're kicking things off with something special the day before the conference, setting the stage for great conversations, networking, and a memorable time.

What we're looking for: We're seeking a diverse mix of professionals across the entire software development spectrum, from idea to continuously delivered product.

Topics we'd love to see include, but are not limited to:

• Agile practices
• Architecture
• Coding
• DevOps
• Graphical design
• Practical use of AI/LLM
• Security
• Testing
• UX design
• Interdisciplinary talks bridging different expertise areas
• Anything that helps teams collaborate better

If you have insights to share that can connect disciplines, inspire innovation, or challenge conventional thinking, we want to hear from you!

Languages: We welcome presentations in both Norwegian and English. We prefer talks in English for inclusivity, but the most important thing is that you present in the language you feel most comfortable with - English or Norwegian.

If you prefer to present in Norwegian, we'd love to see your slides in English to ensure non-Norwegian speakers can still gain value from your session.

Session lengths: We accept talks at 15, 30, 45 and 60 minutes. Pick the length that you feel will be appropriate to get your point across in the most effective manner, and which you will be able to keep the audience's attention for. There is no higher or lower chance of being accepted depending on the talk length. We pick the most interesting and relevant topics from speakers we're confident will deliver a great experience.  

First Timers very welcome: New to speaking? We offer support and feedback to help craft a compelling presentation. Need help writing an abstract? Reach out to the agenda team at program@hellostavanger.no.

Community and Support: As a community conference, it's enormously helpful if your employer can help us out and support your travel and accommodation. If that's not possible, don't let it stop you from applying!

Benefits: Presenters at HelloStavanger can look forward to the following benefits:

• Conference Pass: All accepted speakers receive a complimentary full pass to HelloStavanger.
  
  
• Lodging: We will pay for two nights at our conference hotel, three for inter-continental travelers. You are welcome to extend your stay and pay yourself for additional days at our rate. Please let the organisers know as soon as possible.
  
  
• Travel: HelloStavanger will pay for economy class airfare for your trip, but we do expect you to select flights within a reasonable time so that we can keep the cost as low as possible. We book flights via SpeakerTravel, but if you want to book flights yourself let us know. 
  
  
• Speaker Dinner: All speakers are invited and encouraged to attend a dinner full of awesome food and company on the evening of Tuesday, Oct 20, 2026. This special event offers a great opportunity to network with and visit your peers. Don't miss it!
  
  
• Conference party: Don't miss the conference party on Wednesday night. The two past ones have been fantastic hits and we're looking to make this year's even better!
