Henrik Engström, M.Sc. CS, has spent close to three decades building software professionally and has been programming for around 40 years. Over that time, he has worked across a wide range of industries and technologies, from low-level systems programming to large-scale distributed platforms and cloud architecture.

Henrik is currently CTO and Co-Founder of Isodora, where he focuses on building technology for security, compliance, and AI governance. Much of his recent work has centered on distributed systems, real-time applications, scalability, resiliency, and designing systems that have to work reliably across regions and cloud environments.

He has spoken at conferences including JavaOne, OSCON, Scala eXchange, DevNexus, and Jfokus, and was named a JavaOne Rock Star. He particularly enjoys talking about the lessons learned from building real systems at scale: what worked, what didn't, and the trade-offs that rarely make it into architecture diagrams.
