Barun Debnath is an independent Infrastructure & SRE consultant working with a YC W24-backed AI startup and enterprise clients serving the Fortune 500. He runs multi-cloud Kubernetes platforms across AWS and Azure, progressive delivery, and ClickHouse-first data infrastructure, and spends much of his time on a newer problem: shipping production infrastructure safely when AI agents write most of the pull requests.

Previously, as Founding Engineer at LinkRunner, he rebuilt a real-time attribution engine on ClickHouse for roughly 25x lower infrastructure cost and moved its event pipeline to Go and Kafka. Before that he was a Platform/SRE Engineer at One2N, where he built a hybrid Kubernetes platform spanning cloud and on-prem data centres for a regulated enterprise, and at Media.Net.

He is a Kubestronaut, and focuses on practical engineering: making production systems faster, cheaper, more reliable, and easier for developers to operate.

From TypeScript to Go: How We Cut Infra Cost 26x Without Rewriting Everything

“Rewrite it in Go” is easy advice to give and dangerous advice to follow. Full rewrites often burn months, break product velocity, and recreate bugs that were already solved. But when a service is CPU-heavy, latency-sensitive, and running at growing scale, the implementation language can become part of the architecture.

This talk shares how selected production workloads moved from TypeScript to Go in a real-time attribution platform, cutting infrastructure cost by 26x without stopping product work or rewriting the entire system. We will cover how we chose migration candidates, separated hot paths from stable product code, designed compatibility boundaries, benchmarked carefully, and rolled out on Kubernetes with observability and rollback paths.

The goal is not a language war. It is a decision framework for developers considering performance-driven migrations while keeping users and product teams moving.

WeAreDevelopers Conference 2026 - India Sessionize Event Upcoming

November 2026 Bengaluru, India

ClickHouse Bangalore User Group Meetup — Agentic AI Meets Real-Time Data

Talk: "25x Cheaper Infrastructure, 8x Cheaper Pricing: Real-Time Attribution With ClickHouse as the Backbone" (co-presented with Darshil Rathod, CTO of Linkrunner).

How Linkrunner rebuilt its real-time attribution engine by moving from PostgreSQL to ClickHouse: a customer dashboard query went from 20 seconds to 489 ms, Postgres costs that had spiralled from $500 to $8,000 a month were replaced by a ClickHouse design built on ReplacingMergeTree, AggregatingMergeTree and 16 materialized views, and infrastructure costs fell ~25x — enabling pricing ~8x below competitors. Key idea: "The fix wasn't a better JOIN — the fix was no JOIN."

169 registered attendees; other speakers included ClickHouse co-founder and CTO Alexey Milovidov.
