Ngo Minh Hieu, born in 1989 in Gia Lai, Vietnam, and known as Hieu PC, transformed from a notorious hacker to a respected cybersecurity specialist. While studying in New Zealand, Hieu exploited a university network vulnerability, leading to his illicit cyber activities. From 2007-2013, Hieu masterminded a hacking scheme from Vietnam, compromising data from nearly 200 million U.S. citizens, and profited about $2 million. His cyber operations ceased with his arrest by the U.S. Secret Service in 2013. Sentenced to 13 years in 2015, cooperation with authorities led to his early release in 2019.

Returning to Vietnam, Hieu pivoted from a black hat hacker to a white hat cybersecurity expert. By December 2020, he joined Vietnam's National Cyber Security Monitoring Center (NCSC) and later worked at CloudDefense.AI as "Chief Ethical Hacking Officer (CEHO)". Recognized by corporations like Apple and Verizon for identifying vulnerabilities, he's active in promoting cybersecurity. Initiatives like "ChongLuaDao" and "Green Shield Campaign" underscore his commitment to online safety. Today, Hieu dedicates himself to combating cyber threats, advocating cybersecurity awareness, and supporting safe cyberspace for children. Despite a controversial past, he's driven to protect and educate in the realm of cybersecurity.
