Actions
Hilary Nicole Ivy is a systems thinker, storyteller, and scavenger of strange data. She teaches data analytics and geospatial technologies, leveraging Python, SQL, and satellite imagery. On her off time, she writes speculative fiction and maps imaginary worlds.
Hilary’s career has included adversarial testing of AI at Google, where she led ethical investigations into AI systems, and the Department of Homeland Security, where she tracked fraud across global networks. She’s built adversarial datasets, taught machines to see bias, and helped humans see patterns in the noise.
Now based in Vermont, Hilary teaches at the Community College of Vermont and works as a Business Process Analyst at Vermont State Colleges. She founded Betty Ivy Reads a narrative‑driven data literacy and STEM education platform that helps time‑strapped
faculty deliver engaging, project‑based data science curriculum while protecting academic integrity. She recently returned to school to study studio art, adding visual storytelling to her toolkit of code, maps, and myth.
