Himaja Boinapalli is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and psychotherapist based in New York City, with nine years of experience advancing mental health equity through clinical practice, policy, and advocacy. She holds a dual Master of Arts and Master of Education from Columbia University, alongside two additional Master's degrees in Counseling Psychology.

For the past three years, Himaja has provided trauma-informed, culturally responsive therapy to clients across diverse backgrounds and identities, drawing on an eclectic, integrative approach that includes TF-CBT, DBT, ACT, IFS, and somatic therapy. Her policy work spans the NYC Office of the Mayor and the United Nations Headquarters, where she engaged global stakeholders on mental health advocacy and authored policy initiatives.

A published researcher, her work on authentic leadership and ethical decision-making appeared in the International Journal of Ethics and Systems in 2025, and she has presented at the World Psychiatric Congress and the International Congress of Psychology. Himaja speaks on topics including intergenerational trauma, social determinants of mental health, and destigmatizing mental illness through an intersectional lens.
