Hiroyuki Yamada is CTO at Scalar. He is passionate about database systems and distributed systems, especially making transactions and query processing highly scalable and available. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Tokyo, where he worked on parallel database systems. He has presented his research work at top-tier academic conferences in the database area, such as VLDB and ICDE. He was also a presenter at ApacheCon 2019 and 2020.
