Iheanyichukwu Kelechi Orji is a passionate and results-driven geoscientist with hands-on experience in seismic interpretation, static modeling, reservoir evaluation, operations geology, and well intervention operations. With nearly three years of experience in Nigeria’s oil and gas industry, he has contributed to field development through robust subsurface evaluations, reservoir characterization, and volume estimation in OML-17. At Heirs Energies, he contributed to technically intensive projects, including gas lift optimization operations that significantly increased field production. He combines technical proficiency in Petrel, formation evaluation, and risk analysis with strong communication skills, having presented technical reports to regulators and senior management. A proactive team player with a strong safety culture, he also serves as the HSE focal point for his team. He holds a B.Sc. in Geology and has completed certified training in seismic interpretation, property modeling, WRFM, and petroleum economics. Iheanyichukwu is passionate about leveraging innovation and collaboration to unlock near-field opportunities and optimize hydrocarbon recovery. He is an active member of SPE, having served as Assistant Team Lead for Fundraising Committee, outgoing Membership team lead, and incoming Assistant Industry Collaboration Lead for the Young Professionals in the SPE Port Harcourt Section. Also, he has been an active member of NAPE since 2022. He participated in the Seismic Data Acquisition and Processing Course during the NAPE-NMGS mini conference at the Federal University of Petroleum Resources, Effurun, in 2018 while serving as the NMGS President for UNN Student Chapter.
