We want to hear from you!

At this year’s IIBA Poland Summit, we’re bringing together trends and fundamentals, bridging the gap between what's emerging and what’s essential. We believe that true success in business analysis comes from understanding both—and sometimes, combining elements that don’t seem to fit at first glance.

At the heart of all talks and sessions, we’re placing the BACCM Model and its Core Concepts as our guiding framework:

  • Change: The act of transformation in response to a need.
  • Need: A problem or opportunity to be addressed.
  • Solution: A specific way of satisfying one or more needs in a context.
  • Stakeholder: A group or individual with a relationship to the change, the need, or the solution.
  • Value: The worth, importance, or usefulness of something to a stakeholder within a context.
  • Context: The circumstances that influence, are influenced by, and provide understanding of the change.

In business analysis we want to enable change in an enterprise by defining needs and recommending solutions that deliver value to our stakeholders. Business analysis enables an enterprise to articulate needs and the rationale for change, and to design and describe solutions that can deliver value.

Show us how you bring the Core Concepts to life in your talk.

CHANGE

  • What transformations are happening in your organization or industry?
  • How are BAs facilitating or responding to change?
  • What kinds of changes are driven by technology, regulation, sustainability, or social expectations?
  • How do you help teams navigate ambiguity during change?
  • How do we ensure change leads to meaningful outcomes?

NEED

  • How do you discover, define, and validate needs?
  • What techniques do you use to uncover real business needs?
  • How do you balance user needs with business strategy?
  • How has the concept of “need” changed in agile or digital environments?
  • How do you deal with conflicting or misunderstood needs?

SOLUTION

  • How are we designing, evaluating, or improving solutions?
  • How do you collaborate to co-create effective solutions?
  • What trends (e.g., AI, automation, low-code) are influencing the solutions we design?
  • How do you measure whether a solution really works?
  • How do you manage evolving solutions in continuous delivery?
  • How to combine strategic and delivery view of the solution in agile environments?
  • How do you use data to define solution options? How to support cybersecurity in and organization as a ba?

STAKEHOLDER

  • Who are your stakeholders and how do you engage them?
  • What makes stakeholder collaboration successful?
  • How do you identify hidden stakeholders or manage complex networks?
  • What tools or techniques help you build trust and engagement?
  • How do you handle conflicting expectations or power dynamics?

VALUE

  • How do you define, track, and deliver value?
  • What does “value” mean in your context?
  • How do you align analysis work to value outcomes?
  • How do you prioritize value over output?
  • How do you ensure your solutions deliver lasting value?

CONTEXT

  • How does your environment influence your work?
  • How do organizational culture, policies, or regulations shape your analysis and what should ba know about this areas?
  • How do you tailor your approach to different industries or teams?
  • How do you handle change when context is constantly shifting?
  • How do you model or map context to make better decisions?

INTEGRATED / CROSS-CUTTING

  • How do the core concepts connect in your work?
  • How do you use the BACCM to frame or reflect on your projects?
  • How do you balance trends (like AI, agile, product thinking) with foundational analysis principles?
  • What lessons have you learned when theory and practice collide?
  • How do you coach or mentor others to become better business analysts?
  • How to manage your career growth as a ba?

Please consider those inspirations just as a starting point. We are open to your individual proposals and eager to hear what passionates you at the moment.

At the same time we are eager to hear real life stories and case studies.

We welcome a variety of session formats to suit different styles and topics:

  • Inspiring 20-minute TED-style talks – short, powerful ideas that energize and spark curiosity
  • Engaging 40-minute sessions – deep dives into your topic, with opportunities to interact with the audience
  • 1:1 mentoring sessions (30 minutes) – personalized conversations to guide and support fellow professionals
  • Hands-on workshops (2.5 hours) – interactive learning experiences with practical takeaways

Please note: All sessions must be delivered in person and conducted in English.

Want your talk to stand out? Here’s what makes a strong submission:

  • Craft a clear and compelling abstract – Focus on clarity, and highlight up to three key takeaways your audience will gain.
  • Ground your talk in real experience – Case-based examples and stories resonate more than theory.
  • Combine your speech with basic BA concepts – support building solid foundations for our audience
  • Plan for interaction – Show us how you’ll engage the audience during your session (not just talk at them).
  • Offer practical value – Include actionable tips your audience can apply after the event.
  • Keep it simple – Stick to one core idea per proposal. Avoid trying to cover too much at once.
  • Submit up to two proposals – More isn’t always better. Choose the topics that are most relevant and timely.
  • No sales pitches – We’re looking for learning and inspiration, not commercial presentations.
  • Make it memorable – With limited speaking slots and a high volume of great submissions, stand out with originality, relevance, and clarity. Even though we would love to we are not able to accept all the submissions.
