How I Built My Control Tower: An End-to-End Solution in Microsoft Fabric on Home Automation Data
When I moved into my house, the first thing done was to get sensors everywhere: smart plugs, smart lights, smart car charger, a sophisticated ground heat exchanger - everything can be scheduled and controlled remotely. This also meant that, after a year, I'm sitting on about 26GB of data from everything being monitored! With energy prices on the rise, I had an epiphany - I am a data consultant after all - why not turn this into a control tower of insights? That's where Microsoft Fabric stepped into the picture. Microsoft's newest and coolest kid on the block, combining the best of Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics and Power BI into one sleek package. That makes it the perfect space for building my home automation control tower!
In this session, I will show how I used it all to get valuable insights into my power consumption and to even to take action!
