"Catch The Saboteur" - A Team Game for Tough Conversations
Our everyday communication is often what makes or breaks the team. When communication breakdowns happen and are left unresolved, the lingering tension can fester into interpersonal conflicts, which erode trust, harm collaboration and damage team performance.
This workshop invites participants to reflect, explore and practice a healthier response by playing "Catch The Saboteur". Through a role-play game, they practice spotting the inner voices sabotaging their conversations and responding calmly, clearly, and without blame.
Participants build real-life leadership skills, while being energised through interactions in the game. They will gain:
- Deeper self- and other-awareness, by recognising the saboteur patterns undermining communication effectiveness
- Practical intervention tools, through learning a structured, repeatable practice to manage stress and emotions in real-time high-pressure conversations
- Experience a tested framework of trust, vulnerability and mutual accountability to help them build cohesion in their own team
Great fit for teambuilding days, leadership programs, and conference workshops.
Ideal for leaders of any level of experience who want to establish psychological safety, mutual accountability, and positive team culture. It can be founders, engineering managers, scale-up teams, or even sales and management teams.
Peak Performance without Burnout - The Modern Leader's Roadmap
What if you could lead at your peak while feeling energised and fulfilled?
Many leaders may feel it's only normal that their team's performance and achievements come with stress, anxiety, and the sacrifice of personal well-being.
In this energising talk, Irene blends storytelling with a neuroscience-backed mental fitness approach to sustainable leadership excellence.
Participants experience actionable techniques to intercept and transform their performance-sabotaging thought patterns (e.g. hyper-achiever, perfectionism, over-controlling) before they impact the team.
Participants take home:
- The why and how to apply mental fitness for sustainable peak performance of themselves and their teams
- Trainable micro-practices to keep intercepting performance-sabotaging thought patterns for between meetings, during 1:1s, or decision moments
- A personalised 3-2-1 Mental Fitness Plan that fits their busy schedule
Suitable as a keynote, talk, or speaker session at conferences, tech events, summits, leadership days, and internal kick-offs.
This talk is for people-centred, caring leaders who genuinely want science-backed insights and actionable practices to level up how they lead.

Bridging ITSM and Engineering Teams towards Coordinated AI Adoption
(in collaboration with Matej Strasek)
With organisations researching or piloting AI possibilities, the majority of ITSM professionals (62%) still find the AI integration difficult (SDI, 2024). Emotional resistance and coordination gaps are among the challenges. Other roles within the organisations are facing similar challenges. Most notably, the engineering teams and their managers, who have had to navigate the uncertainties in their work and professional identity.
When Matej (Engineering Manager) and Irene (Mental Fitness Coach) met during a conference last year, their passion for mentoring developed into a collaborative journey centered around this complex challenge. Seeing the rollercoasters of emotions through the AI adoption process in his department, Matej with mentoring from Irene, delivered a series of Hopes & Fears workshops with his teams and peers. We discovered a powerful finding that helped reframe the resistance: engineers are grieving the craft they built their careers on, what initially seemed like resistance was an identity crisis. In this dialogue-style talk, we unpack what happened next from both sides of engineering and mental fitness:
How recognising the roots of their hopes and fears gave the team a shared language.
How good mentoring from the leader helped people move from fear to action.
How engineers redefined themselves, as problem solvers, AI orchestrators and champions.
By presenting this case study, we aim to build bridges between servicedesk/ITSM professionals and engineers. At the heart of the AI adoption challenge is the empowerment of the humans in working together as partners and collaborators. We hope to engage in clarifying discussion and encourage cross-team collaboration towards coordinated AI strategies, boosting adoption, and contributing to building resilient organisations.
Presentation 3 key take-aways:
Why the AI winners won't be the teams with the best tools, but the ones that help people navigate reinvention without losing themselves.
Blueprint for "Hopes and Fears" that you can run with your team's next retro — to build trust and start constructive conversations about AI and innovation.
A framework to turn "resistance" into a coaching conversation instead of a performance problem.

Workshop - Mental Reset: Your Brain Is Not Broken. It Is Just Full. Upcoming
A mental reset for people running their own thing. Every bit of it.
You are surrounded by people. Clients, a team on a screen, someone at the next desk who is focused on their own thing.
Whether you run your own business or work remotely for someone else's, the decisions land on you either way. Nobody in your day is carrying it with you.
So you get good at pushing through, and less good at noticing what it costs.
This hour is about the thought patterns running underneath your work. The ones that make you say yes too fast, over-deliver, or never quite stop. In mental fitness these patterns have names — saboteurs. And once you can name yours, you can catch it.
In one hour, you will:
- Recognise the specific saboteur pattern that hijacks your best work
- Learn one technique to interrupt it in under a minute
- Leave with the first move of your own mental fitness plan
- Find out that the person next to you recognises yours

Catch the Speaking Saboteur: From Inner Critic to Winning Mindset (60-min Workshop)
Even experienced speakers carry a harsh inner critic that can sabotage their performance long before the contest or high‑stakes talk begins.
In this interactive online workshop, you will identify your top “speaking saboteurs” (like the Judge, Hyper‑Achiever, or Stickler), see how they show up in real contest scenarios, and practice simple reframes to turn them into a winning, authentic mindset.
You’ll leave with 1–2 concrete mindset shifts to test at your next contest or speaking opportunity.

Difficult Conversations Made Easier with "Catch The Saboteur" Game
Even skilled communicators break down under pressure. Left unresolved, these moments erode trust, create resentment, and damage collaboration. "Catch The Saboteur" creates a safe space to practice empathetic, blameless communication. Through guided role-plays, you'll identify the unconscious voices — the Critic, Controller, Hyper-Rational — that hijack your words in heated moments. You'll leave with awareness and practical tools to intercept conflict before it escalates.

3-Step Mental Fitness for The Engineering Minds: Boost Performance and Happiness
With the cognitive load inherent in their work, engineers are typically smart and analytical. When they’re not mentally fit, they are prone to mental stress – anxiety, frustration, or unhappiness – as they handle work and life challenges, which impacts their performance and happiness. Yet, when it comes to well-being, the “keep pushing” mentality may put self-care in the back seat.
Speaking from her software engineering background, certified therapist and mental fitness coach Irene Anggreeni makes this conversation more accessible by engaging in a tailored language that connects to an engineer’s daily experience. Mental fitness, based on breakthrough research in positive intelligence, is our capacity to face any challenges with resilience and positivity.
By blending her story of mental health struggles with professional insights in neuroscience-backed mental fitness, Irene will share actionable strategies and techniques covering:
Why your smart, analytical mind can work against you
How mental fitness can upgrade your mind’s operating system
Knowing when to intercept thought patterns that sabotage your performance
Practical techniques to boost productivity (and happiness) while your codes compile
The audience will walk away with a systematic approach to performance, happiness … and a spark to treat their mental fitness at least as important as their physical one.
Mental Health Panelist at EU Startups Summit 2026
On May 7-8, 2026, the EU-Startups Summit returns to sunny Malta, bringing together around 2,400 founders, investors, and startup ecosystem leaders for two days of networking, inspiration, and knowledge-sharing.
Building a startup can be exciting, but it also comes with intense pressure. Long hours, uncertainty, constant decision-making, and the demands of leading a team can take a real toll on founders and employees alike. As conversations around wellbeing become more central to sustainable company building, mental health is no longer something startups can afford to ignore. In our panel “Mental Health Tips for Entrepreneurs and Startup Teams Under Pressure”, we will explore how founders and teams can better recognise stress, build healthier habits, and create more supportive working environments.
The discussion will look at the realities of mental health in fast-paced startup environments, the challenges entrepreneurs and teams face under pressure, and practical ways to support resilience, balance, and long-term well-being while building and scaling a company.
