Izzat-Begum has two and a half decades of experience in tax-efficient legal structuring and large tax dispute management. She offers a unique blend of skills to handle Legal, Tax, and Financial matters as she built her career in multinationals in Europe (Cap Gemini, Loyens, Maersk) and in Africa (E&Y as Equity Partner in Africa). She also developed a strong knowledge of impact projects and social enterprises mainly gained at the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN, IPS) when based in Kenya.
Izzat-Begum holds an LL.M. in Law of International Finance from SOAS of the University of London and is currently a Ph.D. candidate in International Tax Law at the University of Bourgogne Franche-Comté (Dijon, France) where she is researching the Tax Framework(s) of Crypto Currencies and Assets.
