Jaana Gold, DDS, PhD, MPH, CPH, is Clinical Professor at University of Florida College of Dentistry Dept of Community Dentistry and tenured professor and chair at A.T. Still University College of Graduate MPH and MPH dental programs. Dr. Gold received her DDS degree from the University of Oulu, Finland in 1992; a PhD in preventive dentistry and cariology in 2005; MPH degree from University of Florida in 2015; and certification in dental public health from the NYU Langone Hospitals in 2019. She is a diplomate and board certified by the American Board of Dental Public Health. She brings over 28 years of experience in teaching, research and practice in dentistry. In 2017, she received a mid-career faculty award from the American Dental Association (ADA) and the American Association of Dental Research (AADR) for her accomplishments in promoting Evidence-based Dentistry. In 2022, she received Michael Samuels Impact on Public Health Award through AT Still University CGHS. She has published original research in peer-reviewed journals and presented in several international and national conferences. Dr. Gold is a member of several national and international professional organizations; serves in several national and institutional leadership roles; and promotes and advocates for oral health in underserved populations.
