Jace Jung is a first year Ph.D. student in English Language and Literature at the University of Michigan. His research is on contemporary global Anglophone literature (centered on oceans and islands), Asian diasporic cultural production, ecocriticsm, and posthuman theory. His research is invested in bridging the gap between narratives that consider racial and identity formation as entanglements directly tied to oceanic spaces, movements in and across them, and their (new)material culture.
