Jack Cody, born on August 8, 1947, in Sterling, Colorado, was a multifaceted individual whose professional and personal life was deeply rooted in his love for chiropractic care, photography, and nature. As the only child of Jerry and Ruth Cody, Jack's early years were filled with close family ties and outdoor adventures that sparked his lifelong appreciation for the natural world. These early experiences, shared with his parents during countless walks and drives, instilled in him a profound connection to the landscapes and wildlife of Colorado.

Educationally, Jack was as dedicated as he was curious. After graduating from Northeastern Junior College in 1967, he pursued a Bachelor's Degree in Education at the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley, specializing in Special Education by 1969. His passion for learning didn't wane after completing his undergraduate studies; he immediately commenced a Master's program while simultaneously beginning his teaching career.

The late 1970s marked a period of significant personal growth and change for Jack. In 1975, he married his wife from Iran, with whom he temporarily relocated to Iran, enriching his life experiences and broadening his perspective through teaching English abroad. This period also allowed him to indulge in his passion for photography, documenting their travels and experiences. Upon returning to the U.S., the couple welcomed their first child, a daughter, in 1979.

However, despite progressing toward a doctorate in Special Education Administration, Jack felt a yearning for a different professional path. In 1983, this led him to pivot dramatically, applying to and being accepted at the Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa. This decision was the start of a new chapter in his life, culminating in his graduation in 1986, where he was notably one of the oldest graduates in his class.

After earning his Doctor of Chiropractic degree, Jack returned to Colorado and opened a chiropractic practice in Greeley. He continued to intertwine his professional life with his passion for photography, choosing to write his thesis on the "Sense of Sight through a Photograph." This project underscored his belief in the power of visual perception, both in his chiropractic practice and in his photography, which often focused on capturing the serene and subtle beauty of nature.

Jack's website, "The Sense of Sight through a Photograph," features extensive collections from his adventures, showcasing his ability to capture the essence of his subjects, from the Rocky Mountains to Mediterranean landscapes.

A devoted family man and grandfather, Jack cherished his time outdoors with his five grandchildren, teaching them to appreciate nature through fishing, camping, and photography. His legacy, enriched by the beauty of his photographic work and the warmth of his family memories, continues to inspire those who knew him.

Jack Cody passed away on October 20, 2021, but he leaves behind a legacy filled with scenic photographs and cherished memories. His family and friends deeply miss him.
