Jacob is a Software Architect specializing in Web3 and the CEO of Anomaly Science. This early-stage startup is building a tokenized approach to software licensing, for source code, enterprise, and consumer licensing, as well as developing Web3 and Web2.5 developer tools and applications. In his role as a software architect, Jacob primarily focuses on backend development, employing a variety of programming languages, tools, and technologies. This includes JavaScript, Node.js, Linux-based systems, NoSQL databases, IPFS, Ethereum Mainnet & Layer 2 protocols, and Solidity Smart Contracts.

His love of technology started when he was 11, through the game Minecraft. It was here that he began learning to code, driven by a desire to create his own mods for the game. Later, while searching for a way to accept donations to maintain a game server as he was underage for any payment processors, he discovered Bitcoin. This created a lasting fascination with cryptocurrencies and, later, blockchain technology. This interest eventually led to his first project on the Ethereum blockchain at age 15, as part of a student hackathon. At 18, he left his hometown for California, US, to participate in the San Mateo-based pre-accelerator Draper University’s Hero Training, being the youngest in the Summer 2021 Cohort. It was during his time there that he decided to drop out from his degree program and pursue his work with Anomaly Science full-time. After his time at Draper University, Jacob decided to relocate from the United States to Berlin, Germany, to further pursue his goals.

Currently, as a software architect, Jacob actively designs and develops new technology in Web3. His focus areas include alternative use cases and mainstream adoption for NFTs and tokenization, decentralized content resolution, creation and management of decentralized systems, interoperability solutions with existing Web2 content and applications, and backwards compatibility for Web3. He spends part of his time traveling to attend and speak at various conferences and events across Europe, seeking to challenge the way that people think about Web3, improve the public perception, and advocate for new use cases and further advancement of the technology.
