I am a qualified lawyer with over 27 years of experience, eight of which were as a practicing attorney working on civil and criminal litigation in South Africa. After leaving legal practice I ran a legal research and advocacy unit at the Dullah Omar Institute of Constitutional Law at the University of the Western Cape before joining the Law Faculty to lecture child justice law, constitutional law and international human rights law. I am presently Director of Monitoring, Evaluation, Research and Learning for Plan International, an international development and humanitarian organisation at its international headquarters based in the UK but working across the globe in 70+ countries. Plan International recently deployed a M&E system to our 54 country offices so now we have an enterprise, digital platform to help us store, manage, analyse and report on our programmatic results.
