James Evans is an Enterprise Agile Coach, mentor and consultant who values commitment, follow-through and strategic foresight. As a USPS retiree and Person of Color, James brings unique perspectives gained from his life experiences, providing insights in helping to unleash the untapped potential of employees and positively impact the organizations mission and bottom line.
By day, James is a Business Agility Enablement Manager; using the power of business agility to help organizations create customer-focused, value-driven solutions. After work, James mentors’ new entrepreneurs on the lean startup methodology and helps previously incarcerated students navigate shape the path of their new normal. In addition to bringing to the table over 15+ years of I.T. experience, James views life and work through the lens of coaching, mentoring and partnering.
Born in St. Louis, Missouri and the first of six children in a single-parent home, James learned the power of empathy. His determination to avoid a life of expected status quo inspired him to earn a Master’s in Information Systems Management from Keller Graduate School Management along with certifications as an Enterprise Agile Coaching, SAFe® 5 Program Consultant and AWS Cloud Practitioner.
When not coaching or mentoring, James works out of a room with some plants and a ring light. His fake dog Ochoa stares at him for a walk that never happens.
