James Jay is the district Intervention Coordinator for Hanford Joint Union High School District. He was a classroom teacher for eleven years, and has served the last seven years as an administrator at the elementary, middle school, and high school levels. James earned a BA in History from the University of Texas at San Antonio and an MA in Educational Leadership from Chapman University. In his current role James is responsible for the district's drug and alcohol intervention program and works with a team of school social workers who execute the program at their respective school sites. Additionally, he is a co-administrator at HJUHSD's alternative education campuses, and an instructor with Kings County Office of Education in their GROW Program for brand new teachers.
