SGTY "Something Greater Then Yourself" after service: An Advocacy Story

Join James as he discusses one of the hardest parts of the MIL/veteran cycle. Transitioning from military service to veteran. But most importantly finding that "something greater than yourself" or SGTY (because who doesn't love an acronym and it’s pronounced s•ge•tee) after you hang up the uniform. It's something he has heard veterans, time and time again, express they are missing, while being a peer support, coach, and mentor.
For James that thing has been advocacy. Helping advance policy and legislative change in the Military/veteran space. While advocacy might not be your next SGTY, it wasn't James's first either. Yours could be something as simple as a hobby or building off a value that matters. Learn about some of the many amazing veterans and organizations that he found along the way that like him were looking for SGTY. Discover and take away what might be that next SGTY for you.
