Since March 2023, Jamie has been a maintainer of the Kubernetes project area of Backstage, and was the first non-Spotify-employed project area maintainer. In the past, he maintained the open-source automation tool Concourse for 2 years. Jamie first encountered Backstage in August 2021, his first contribution was in March 2022, and he began leading a dedicated Backstage OSS team at VMware in May 2022.
