Dr. Jamie Winterton is the Senior Director of Strategy for ASU’s Global Security Initiative, where she designs interdisciplinary research concepts for defense and security missions Her current areas of emphasis are cybersecurity, human/machine teaming, and disinformation.

Jamie chairs the university's DARPA Working Group, and has commented on cybersecurity and privacy issues in the Washington Post, the New York Times, USA Today, the Christian Science Monitor, Slate, and NPR. Prior to joining ASU in August 2014, she worked as a staff scientist for Lockheed Martin, where she developed and directed projects in electro-optical and radar processing/analysis for multiple military and government organizations.
