Jan Urbanski is the Director of Safe & Humane Schools within the Institute on Family & Neighborhood Life at Clemson University where she oversees dissemination of the Olweus Bullying Prevention Program and initiatives focused on positive connections and reducing bullying and violence. She has 24 years of school district experience including Supervisor of Safe and Drug Free Schools where she directed the district’s national award-winning character education program and provided oversight of the district policy against bullying and harassment. Dr. Urbanski also has experience as a Prevention Specialist, an elementary teacher, and professional school counselor.

Dr. Urbanski has authored multiple articles, chapters, and books related to bullying and has developed bullying prevention curricula, training and educational resources. She has conducted workshops on bullying prevention, conflict resolution, and character education at the local, state, national, and international levels.
