Janet is chair of Tanzania Development Trust, a volunteer run UK registered charity that has been supporting grassroots organisations in rural Tanzania for 45 years. In 2015 she founded Crowd2Map which has since recruited over 15,000 online volunteers to map rural Tanzania into OpenStreetMap, for better navigation, community development and to help protect girls from FGM.
