In dieser Pre-Conference jagen wir gemeinsam den bestmöglichen Happy Path von Power BI und holen uns Unterstützung durch moderne KI wie Copilot, um diesen Weg effizienter zu gestalten.
Statt uns durch typische Projektprobleme zu kämpfen, schalten wir bewusst in den Star Mode und erleben, wie sich Power BI anfühlt, wenn Anforderungen, Datenmodell, Visualisierung und Metadaten sauber zusammenspielen.
Wir zeigen diesen idealen Ablauf ganz bewusst, um klar zu machen, welche Prinzipien wirklich funktionieren, wie man fundierte Entscheidungen im Projekt trifft und wie sich unnötige Komplexität, Rework und Missverständnisse von Anfang an vermeiden lassen.
Wir starten mit einer fiktiven Anforderungsaufnahme und übersetzen fachliche Ziele in KPIs und ein strukturiertes Report Canvas. Durch leichtgewichtiges Dashboard-Prototyping wird früh sichtbar, welche Informationen wirklich relevant sind und wie diese optimal aufbereitet werden.
Auf dieser Basis entwickeln wir gemeinsam ein Best-Practice-Datenmodell in Power BI Desktop. Dabei geht es nicht nur um Tabellen und Beziehungen, sondern auch um die oft unterschätzte Ebene der Metadaten: Beschreibungen, Strukturen und Kontexte, die Self-Service und Wartbarkeit erst möglich machen.
Mit Unterstützung moderner KI zeigen wir, wie sich Modellierung, Dokumentation und insbesondere die Nutzung von Metadaten deutlich effizienter umsetzen lassen und wie Kontext aus dem Modell gezielt nutzbar wird.
Zum Abschluss setzen wir das Dashboard aus der Requirement-Phase um und werfen einen Blick über klassische Visualisierungen hinaus in Richtung Custom Visuals.
