Your Agile Team’s Journey Told Through Analytics

Join us on an agile journey as we share ways for teams to analyze their metrics and understand the “why” behind them. We will show how we developed several visuals for the team to look at, and constructed a narrative to help the team introspect, learn, and grow. For example, we can quickly identify impacting variables in real time – such as shifts due to remote work and post-holiday performance trends. Using the metrics, we can identify why these are happening and collaborate with the team to validate or make changes. Listeners can take these learnings back to their teams to develop the Agile Metrics that are important for them to transform into knowledge and wisdom.

We have used Agile principles to develop a dashboard that measures team performance and identifies opportunities for improvement. Through these views, we can see where we are and where we’re going. While we developed this report to analyze traditional metrics (velocity, cycle time, lead time), we’ve also incorporated learnings to make changes quickly and easily. This has helped to improve team collaboration, highlight retrospective topics, as well as evaluate efficiency, trends, etc.

Jeff and Amy bring insights from both the data science and project management realms across the past 15 years, and are both Agile certified. Jeff’s background is in data development, measurement systems analysis and process control techniques, as well as being a Six Sigma Black Belt. Amy brings along a history driving many Agile teams towards performance and efficiency improvements across several companies, and is a Certified Scrum Master, as well as Project Management Professional Certified.
